The lake rules allow canoes, kayaks and non motorized boats, has great fishing and very few homes viewed from lakeside. The homes in the community are nestled into the wooded (many with Pine Trees) sites in complete harmony with nature. Streams run throughout the property and the sound of a babbling brook is everywhere. The tennis complex at Pinecrest Resort and Country Club is one of the very best in the Poconos and maybe all of northeast PA. There are Har-tru tennis courts with pro shop on site. Each court has its own fencing and the pro shop has equipment, demos, soft goods, and resort tennis pro available. Racquets can be strung or adjusted onsite. The courts are surrounded by grassy areas and woods with no distractions. Matches are arranged by the pro as requested. Since there are a lot of retired folks in the neighborhood you'll find an abundance of potential partners for play. Wild Pines Golf Course is a competitive course with outstanding view of the surrounding Poconos mountains in Pennsylvania. The course was designed by J. Christopher Commins, with Sunshine Design and takes advantage of the rugged mountain topography and the natural vegetation and waterscapes of the site. Fairways are integrated with existing wetlands that are design features. The clubhouse is of Adirondack design details and has a restaurant and Pro shop. Pinecrest Lake Resort has become one of the most fun, family oriented, recreational communities of its kind anywhere. Pinecrest is a mature, well managed leisure community on hundreds of surrounding a 1 mile long private lake. The community is within seconds of 25,527 acres of Pennsylvania state forest so the quality of the community is expected to remain forever. Pinecrest has limited expansion plans and it is designed to be a peaceful nature oriented neighborhood that will remain overcrowded. Pinecrest Lake is within 2 hours driving time of Philadelphia, North Jersey, and New York and is easily accessible any season of the year. The short drive encourages homeowners who visit for weekend use, summer and ski seasons. The main attraction is Pinecrest Lake itself. With over 3 miles of shoreline, it is one of the largest private lakes in the Poconos. A "greenbelt" surrounds most of the lake and since many trees may not be removed the lake is protected and pristine. The lack of power boats ensures a clean, tranquil setting.
